I’m Juan Manuel Carrillo, Marine Biologist with an interest in epidemiology and stronger interest on data science and machine learning. I love photography and ciliates are my secret lovers. I miss you guys.
Most of my professional life I’ve been focused on Ecology research, but now it’s time to apply everything I learned to different beasts. I’m a self taught R student, although I started a really complete MOCC on Data Science. I love it and I decided I will make it my job.
I learned to love working with R, data wrangling, data analysis, visualizations, and machine learning. Get clear information out of an apparent initial randomness. Love it. Also I’ve been quite into Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, I’m familiar with the blockchain and I’m developing a trading project with a couple of friends. But shh, it’s a secret.
Some of the projects I’ll be publishing in here are the product of a question and an afternoon (or a long weekend of coding). All of them coded in R (unless otherwise stated) and published thanks to Rmarkdown
